Kybella® is the trade name for deoxycholic acid, a naturally occurring substance in the body that breaks down dietary fat.
HOW DOES KYBELLA® WORK?
Kybella® works by a principle called chemical lipolysis. Lipolysis is the medical term for the destruction of fat cells, so simply put, Kybella® destroys fat cells.
WHO IS AN IDEAL CANDIDATE FOR KYBELLA®?
Kybella® works best for patients who are struggling with mild to moderate submental fullness or “double chin.” Patients should be at or near their ideal weight.
HOW MANY KYBELLA® TREATMENTS ARE REQUIRED AND WHAT IS THE RECOVERY LIKE AFTER KYBELLA® TREATMENT?
Typically, patients will need between 2-4 treatments to reach their aesthetic goals. Each treatment results in noticeable swelling that can last between 1-2 weeks.
